Build custom AI Simulations — without engineers

Anyone in your HR or L&D team can build rigorous, role-specific assessments. Upload your documents, describe the scenario, and Studio generates a complete simulation — characters, tasks, scoring, and all.

How it works

From job description to live simulation in days

Studio guides you through every step. The Studio Copilot handles the heavy lifting — you focus on the scenario and the skills you want to measure.

1

Define the concept

Choose a modality (Hiring, Assessment, or Training), a template, and the role context. Studio structures the rest from your inputs.

2

Write the scenario brief

Set the company context, player role, and mission. 150–250 words. The Copilot can generate a first draft from a job description or process document.

3

Create your AI actors

Define up to 4 AI characters — their name, role, personality, difficulty level, and how they should behave. Friendly, neutral, or difficult.

4

Build the tasks

Add task types in sequence: voice call, chat, code challenge, document review, or collaborative editing. Mix modalities to mirror how work actually happens.

5

Select skills to evaluate

Choose 3–4 skills from the 60,000+ taxonomy. Studio connects your scenario to the right skill benchmarks automatically.

6

Define evaluation criteria

Set the specific behaviors that indicate competency. Binary pass/fail checks. Essential vs. non-essential requirements. The Copilot suggests criteria based on the scenario.

7

Upload your documents

Add task documents the player sees — PDFs, DOCX, PPTX, XLSX — and background knowledge the AI actors use. Up to 40 pages total.

8

Generate and test

Studio generates the complete simulation. Run it yourself first, adjust, then deploy at scale. No engineering ticket required at any step.

Four templates

Choose the right template for your scenario

Templates define the structure and constraints. Each is optimized for a different type of skill and scenario.

Scenario

Workplace situations

Multi-task scenarios with interpersonal challenges — negotiations, escalations, stakeholder management, coaching conversations.

Voice + Chat + Doc · Max 1 voice call · Up to 4 actors
Micro

Focused skill practice

Short, targeted simulations for a single skill or behavior. Fast to build, fast to complete. Ideal for training reinforcement.

Voice + Chat + Doc · Shorter format · Single skill focus
Coding

Technical challenges

Live code editor with test execution. Debugging, architecture, code review, pull request analysis. Supports AI tooling environments.

Code editor · Chat · No voice · Claude Code · Copilot
GenAI

AI tooling proficiency

Prompt engineering, AI-assisted workflows, output quality evaluation. For any role that works with AI tools as part of their daily work.

Code + Chat · AI Chat tool · AI Readiness signal
Studio Copilot

Describe what you want. The Copilot builds it.

The Studio Copilot is built into every step. It generates scenario briefs from job descriptions, suggests evaluation criteria, creates character personalities, and drafts score checks — based on what you’ve already told it about the role and context.

HR
I need a simulation for a senior enterprise sales rep. They need to handle a difficult client who wants to cancel — and get to a renewal conversation.
AI
Done. I’ve created a Scenario template with two tasks: an initial discovery chat with a frustrated client (neutral difficulty), followed by a voice call where they push for cancellation. I’ve selected 3 skills: objection handling, relationship management, and value articulation. Here are 5 evaluation criteria — want me to adjust the difficulty level or add a document task?
What you bring

Start from what you already have

Studio can generate or enrich a simulation from any structured input. You don’t need to start from scratch.

Job descriptions

Paste or upload a JD. Studio extracts the 3–4 most assessable skills, builds a day-in-the-life scenario, and suggests character difficulty level for the role seniority.

Your documents and processes

Upload SOPs, training materials, product guides, policy docs. They become background knowledge for AI actors — or task documents the player works with directly.

Existing simulations

Start from any simulation in the library — 300+ ready-made scenarios — and customise it for your company context, terminology, and evaluation focus.

Who uses Studio

Built for the teams that own skill development

No engineering resource. No vendor dependency. Your team owns the content.

L&D teams

Build training simulations tailored to your company’s real processes, culture, and challenges. Turn internal training materials into immersive practice environments in days.

Knowledge Owners

Subject matter experts who own a function or domain become simulation designers — using Studio to codify their expertise into reusable assessments the whole org can run.

HR ops and People teams

Manage your organisation’s full simulation library — custom and library — from one catalog. Assign to roles, schedule assessments, track version history without IT.

Common questions

Frequently asked

What HR and L&D teams ask before building their first simulation.

Do we need technical skills to build a simulation in Studio?
No. Studio is designed for HR, L&D, and subject matter experts — not engineers. The interface is form-based and guided. The Studio Copilot handles the structural work — generating scenario text, criteria, and score checks from your inputs. Most teams build their first custom simulation within a day of onboarding.
How long does it take to go from concept to a live simulation?
With the Studio Copilot and an existing job description or process document, most simulations are ready for testing within 1–2 days. More complex multi-actor scenarios with custom documents typically take 3–5 days from brief to tested simulation.
Can we customise a simulation from the library instead of building from scratch?
Yes. The library includes 300+ ready-made simulations across tech, sales, finance, operations, and HR roles. You can import any of them into Studio and customise the company context, terminology, character personalities, and evaluation criteria for your specific org.
How do the skills in a custom simulation connect to the rest of the platform?
When you select skills in Studio, they come from the 60,000+ skill taxonomy. That means simulation results automatically feed each person’s verified skill profile — and flow into Workforce Intelligence, AI Readiness scoring, and development recommendations. No manual mapping needed.
Can we use our own company documents inside a simulation?
Yes. You can upload PDFs, DOCX, PPTX, and XLSX files as task documents (what the player sees and works with) or as background knowledge (what the AI actors know but the player doesn’t see). Up to 40 pages total per simulation.
