Anthropos vs Workera
Two enterprise skills platforms, two different definitions of “verified.” What each platform actually does, where each one wins, and how to choose.
Anthropos is the skills intelligence platform for workforce assessment and upskilling: it maps every skill automatically from CV, HRIS and LinkedIn, verifies what people can actually do through AI Simulations, AI Interviews and AI Labs, scores AI Readiness, and builds the courses that close the gaps, for hiring and the workforce you have. Workera measures skills with AI-native assessments: adaptive tests, role-play, situational and live-coding formats scored per skill domain, plus passive work-signals. Choose Workera for per-skill benchmarking at scale. Choose Anthropos to map, prove and grow what your people can actually do.

Two different answers to the same question
Both platforms exist because self-reported skills data cannot be trusted. They solve it in fundamentally different ways.
Workera, founded out of Andrew Ng’s deeplearning.ai ecosystem, is now a four-agent skills platform: Hiring, Assessment, AI Studio and Ambient. Assessments are AI-native and adaptive, spanning role play, situational matching, live coding and tests, each scored per skill domain on a summative Capability Score.
Since 2026, Ambient adds passive capability signals from everyday work tools, and a persona-based AI Readiness Index benchmarks organizations against peers. Learning gaps flow to partners such as Coursera, Udemy and O’Reilly. Customers include Accenture, Siemens Energy and the U.S. Department of the Air Force.

Anthropos is the AI-native platform companies use to manage talent at scale. It runs the full cycle: map every role against a 60,000-skill taxonomy, collect everything you know about your people from CV, HRIS and LinkedIn, confirm it with guided self-assessment, verify it in AI Simulations, AI Interviews and hands-on AI Labs, then upskill against the verified gaps.
Coverage comes with depth. Anthropos Studio turns your documents into custom simulations, complete courses are created from your material, and both roll out to thousands of people. The same engine verifies candidates in hiring, so one platform runs everything from pre-hire to reskilling.
And it stays open and personal: full APIs and MCP, Talk to Data for plain-language answers from your skills data, Workforce Intelligence and a 0–100 AI Readiness score, with an experience that adapts to each employee: their profile, their gaps, their next role.
Customers include FS Group, Italgas, Together AI, Datrix and Orbyta Tech · adopted in weeks
What can Anthropos do that Workera cannot?
Workera’s newer formats include role play and live coding, run as separate per-skill assessments. An Anthropos AI Simulation is one situation, whole: a sales leader is on a live voice call with an AI character playing a VP who is pushing back on terms, a contract sits open on screen, and a colleague messages with new numbers. Decide, respond, deliver, all scored together.
AI actors with an agenda
Every character has a name, a role and an objective. They push back, change tone and react to what your people say.
Four channels, one score
Voice, chat, code and document work run together and are evaluated together, the way real work happens.
Scenarios from your business
Anthropos Studio turns your documents and processes into custom simulations. No engineers required.

Does a higher test score mean someone can do the job?
Not reliably. High scores on isolated tests routinely coexist with poor performance under real conditions. And the gap is widening: AI assistants can now answer most standardized questions, which makes question-based formats less and less conclusive on their own.
A live, multi-channel simulation is a different problem. There is no answer to look up when an AI character asks you to defend a decision on a voice call, in real time, while the document in front of you contradicts your claim.
That is why Anthropos treats behavioral evidence, not test scores, as the unit of verification.
What happens once the gaps are found?
On Workera, verified gaps flow to third-party content from partners like Coursera and O’Reilly, plus coaching nudges in the flow of work. The courses themselves live in other systems, so proving that training worked means running the loop across vendors.
On Anthropos, the same platform that found the gap closes it, and “we can’t prove ROI”, the most common complaint enterprise buyers make about skills platforms, stops being your problem.
Verified gaps feed the training
Skill Paths, training simulations and complete courses built from your own content target exactly what the assessment surfaced.
Reassessment proves the growth
The same instrument that found the gap measures the progress. One loop: map, verify, develop.

Workera is an assessment layer. Anthropos runs the whole loop.
Testing is one step. Anthropos covers what comes before and after it, for every role, including deeply technical ones.
Full skills mapping
Every employee auto-mapped from CV, HRIS and LinkedIn into a 60,000-skill taxonomy. No surveys to launch, no spreadsheet to maintain.
AI Interviews
Qualitative interviews at scale for any role: context, aspiration and how people actually work with AI, feeding one integrated report.
AI Labs
Secure sandboxes where people build with Claude Code, Copilot and Codex: structured, hands-on sessions scored like a simulation, not passive usage telemetry. Built for deeply technical roles, including AI engineering.
Course creation
Create complete courses and Skill Paths from scratch, from your own material, and assign them exactly where verified gaps appear.
The same verified skills data powers every use case
AI transformation
Score AI Readiness for every person and team, then drive adoption of Claude Code, Copilot and Codex with verified progress.
Hiring
Assess candidates in the job, not a quiz: verified tech and business skills before the offer, with Anthropos Hiring.
Onboarding
Day-one skills maps and simulations that let new hires experience the real job, safely.
Reskilling and internal mobility
Surface hidden capability, match people to open roles, and retrain into the roles AI is changing.
Compliance and safety
Practice high-stakes procedures in simulation, with verified evidence of who can do what.
Training ROI and succession
Prove programs moved real capability, and know who is ready next for every critical role.
Which platform is right for you?
Different needs, different strengths. This is how we would advise a buyer who could pick either.
Anthropos vs Workera: FAQ
Is Anthropos a good alternative to Workera?
Yes, for teams that need proof of performance rather than test scores. Anthropos verifies skills through immersive AI Simulations with voice, chat, code and documents, maps 60,000+ skills across 18,000+ roles, and develops people on the same platform. Workera remains a strong choice for per-skill benchmarking at scale.
Does Anthropos do skills mapping, or only assessment?
Both. Anthropos auto-maps every employee’s skills from CV, HRIS and LinkedIn into a 60,000-skill taxonomy, then verifies the map with AI Simulations, AI Interviews and AI Labs. Workera builds skill profiles from test results; it does not map skills from existing HR data.
What is the main difference between Anthropos and Workera?
Workera measures skills with AI-native assessments: adaptive tests, role play, situational matching and live coding, each scored per skill domain. Anthropos observes the whole person at work: one immersive scenario where voice calls, chat, code and document work happen together, with AI actor characters, and are scored together.
Does Workera offer AI simulations like Anthropos?
Workera’s assessment formats now include conversational role play, situational matching and live coding, run as separate per-skill assessments. What Workera does not publicly offer is what defines an Anthropos AI Simulation: one immersive scenario combining voice calls, chat, code tasks and document work with AI actor characters, scored together.
Which platform is better for measuring AI readiness, Anthropos or Workera?
Both platforms score AI readiness; the methodology differs. Workera’s AI Readiness Index benchmarks persona-based assessment results plus passive work-signals against industry peers. Anthropos AI Readiness builds a 0–100 score per person and organization from three verified signals: skills mapping, a practical AI Simulation and an AI Interview, resolved into a Knowledge-by-Usage matrix that shows who is ready and where to intervene first.
How long does it take to deploy Anthropos compared to Workera?
Anthropos is typically adopted in weeks, including HRIS connection, skills auto-mapping and the first AI Simulation campaigns. Workera deployments are enterprise rollouts whose timelines vary with scope. Both platforms support phased launches that start with one team or role.
Can Anthropos integrate with our HRIS like Workera does?
Yes. Anthropos connects to 100+ HRIS systems and auto-maps employee skills from CV, HRIS and LinkedIn data. Workera integrates with Workday, Degreed and major content providers such as Coursera and LinkedIn Learning.
