Anthropos vs iMocha

Two skills intelligence platforms, two different definitions of “verified.” What each platform actually does, where each one wins, and how to choose.

The short answer

Anthropos is the skills intelligence platform for workforce assessment and upskilling: it maps skills automatically from CV, HRIS and LinkedIn, verifies them in immersive AI Simulations, AI Interviews and AI Labs, scores AI Readiness, and closes gaps with courses built from your material, for hiring and the workforce you have. iMocha validates skills with a large assessment library: 10,000+ tests and interviews, coding simulators and Tara, its conversational AI interviewer, with development running in partner platforms. Choose iMocha for ready-made test coverage across many roles. Choose Anthropos to map, prove and grow skills in one loop.

The platforms

Two different answers to the same question

Both platforms exist because self-reported skills data cannot be trusted. They solve it in fundamentally different ways.

iMochaTests and inference

iMocha is a skills and work intelligence platform. AI Skills Inference builds skill profiles from resumes, certificates and work data, and a 10,000+ library of tests, coding simulators and AI-led interviews, including Tara, its conversational AI interviewer, validates them skill by skill.

A Work Intelligence layer classifies tasks by AI impact, and skills data syncs into Workday through a Marketplace listing added in July 2026. Development happens in partner platforms such as Udemy, Degreed and Coursera. Customers include L’Oréal, Ericsson, Deloitte, EY and Capgemini.

Anthropos WorkforceAI-native talent platform

Anthropos is the AI-native platform companies use to manage talent at scale. It runs the full cycle: map every role against a 60,000-skill taxonomy, collect everything you know about your people from CV, HRIS and LinkedIn, confirm it with guided self-assessment, verify it in AI Simulations, AI Interviews and hands-on AI Labs, then upskill against the verified gaps.

Coverage comes with depth. Anthropos Studio turns your documents into custom simulations, complete courses are created from your material, and both roll out to thousands of people. The same engine verifies candidates in hiring, so one platform runs everything from pre-hire to reskilling.

And it stays open and personal: full APIs and MCP, Talk to Data for plain-language answers from your skills data, Workforce Intelligence and a 0–100 AI Readiness score, with an experience that adapts to each employee: their profile, their gaps, their next role.

Customers include FS Group, Italgas, Together AI, Datrix and Orbyta Tech · adopted in weeks

One scenario, not ten tests

What can Anthropos do that iMocha cannot?

iMocha validates skills one at a time: a coding test here, an interview there. An Anthropos AI Simulation is one situation, whole: a sales leader is on a live voice call with an AI character playing a VP who is pushing back on terms, a contract sits open on screen, and a colleague messages with new numbers. Decide, respond, deliver, all scored together.

AI actors with an agenda

Every character has a name, a role and an objective. They push back, change tone and react to what your people say.

Four channels, one score

Voice, chat, code and document work run together and are evaluated together, the way real work happens.

Your business, not a library

iMocha’s 10,000 assessments are ready-made. Anthropos Studio builds simulations from your documents and processes.

Can iMocha verify how people actually work with AI?

Only up to a point. iMocha’s GenAI assessments are question-based: prompt engineering, Copilot concepts, LLM fundamentals. Useful signals, but knowing about Copilot is not the same as building with it.

Anthropos AI Labs are live, sandboxed sessions where people actually build with Claude Code, Copilot and Codex, and the session itself is scored like a simulation: how they frame the problem, steer the tool, and verify what it produced.

That is why Anthropos treats behavioral evidence, not test scores, as the unit of verification.

Where development lives

Who closes the gaps iMocha finds?

On iMocha, validated gaps flow to partner platforms: Udemy, Degreed, Cornerstone, Coursera. The courses themselves live in other systems, so proving that training worked means running the loop across vendors.

On Anthropos, the same platform that found the gap closes it, and “we can’t prove ROI”, the most common complaint enterprise buyers make about skills platforms, stops being your problem.

Courses from your material, not a catalog

Skill Paths, training simulations and complete courses created from your own content target exactly what the assessment surfaced.

Reassessment proves the growth

The same instrument that found the gap measures the progress. One loop: map, verify, develop.

Anthropos AI Readiness score built from skills mapping, AI Simulation and AI Interview

One platform

iMocha validates skills. Anthropos runs the whole loop.

Full skills mapping

Every employee auto-mapped from CV, HRIS and LinkedIn into a 60,000-skill taxonomy. No surveys to launch, no spreadsheet to maintain.

AI Interviews

Qualitative interviews at scale for any role: context, aspiration and how people actually work with AI, feeding one integrated report.

AI Labs

Secure sandboxes where people build with Claude Code, Copilot and Codex: structured, hands-on sessions scored like a simulation, not passive usage telemetry. Built for deeply technical roles, including AI engineering.

Course creation

Create complete courses and Skill Paths from scratch, from your own material, and assign them exactly where verified gaps appear.

Questions buyers ask

Anthropos vs iMocha: FAQ

Is Anthropos a good alternative to iMocha?

Yes, for teams that need proof of performance rather than test results. Anthropos verifies skills through immersive AI Simulations with voice, chat, code and documents, maps 60,000+ skills across 18,000+ roles, and develops people on the same platform. iMocha remains a strong choice for broad, high-volume test coverage across many roles.

Does Anthropos do skills mapping, or only assessment?

Both platforms map skills. Anthropos auto-maps every employee from CV, HRIS and LinkedIn into a 60,000-skill taxonomy, then verifies the map with AI Simulations, AI Interviews and AI Labs. iMocha infers skills with AI Skills Inference and validates them with tests and AI interviews; it does not verify them through immersive workplace scenarios.

What is the main difference between Anthropos and iMocha?

The verification method. iMocha validates skills one by one with a large library of tests, coding simulators and AI interviews. Anthropos observes the whole person at work: one immersive scenario where voice calls, chat, code and document work happen together, with AI actor characters, and are scored together.

Does iMocha offer AI simulations like Anthropos?

iMocha offers coding simulators and Tara, a conversational AI interviewer, but no published product combines voice calls, chat, code tasks and document work in one immersive scenario. Tara asks adaptive interview questions; it does not play characters, such as clients or colleagues, inside a work simulation.

Can iMocha assess how people work with AI tools like Copilot?

iMocha’s GenAI assessments are question-based tests about prompt engineering and tools such as GitHub Copilot. Anthropos AI Labs are live, sandboxed sessions where people actually build with Claude Code, Copilot and Codex, and the session itself is scored like a simulation.

How long does it take to deploy Anthropos compared to iMocha?

Anthropos is typically adopted in weeks, including HRIS connection, skills auto-mapping and the first AI Simulation campaigns. iMocha deployment varies with scope, from fast test rollouts to larger skills-intelligence programs. Both platforms support phased launches.

Can Anthropos integrate with our HRIS like iMocha does?

Yes. Anthropos connects to 100+ HRIS systems and auto-maps employee skills from CV, HRIS and LinkedIn data. iMocha integrates deeply with Workday, including a Workday Marketplace listing, plus SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM and major ATS and learning platforms.
