Context

Verda is a leading e-commerce platform with a 15% market share, known for its innovation and customer satisfaction. The platform features AI-driven smart size recommendations and personalized product suggestions, which have significantly reduced return rates and boosted customer engagement. Verda's commitment to enhancing customer experience has resulted in a 92% customer satisfaction rating and a 20% growth in revenue over the past year. The company was awarded the "Best E-Commerce Innovation" at the 2023 Global Retail Awards for its smart size recommendation feature. Verda utilizes advanced AI algorithms, robust data analytics platforms, and comprehensive project management tools to maintain its competitive edge. The company's culture emphasizes innovation, teamwork, and a customer-centric approach, fostering a collaborative environment where cross-functional teams work together to develop and launch new features.

Your main challenge is to plan and execute the launch of Verda's new smart size recommendation feature. This involves balancing stakeholder expectations, managing a tight timeline, and addressing potential technical issues. You must ensure the feature seamlessly integrates with Verda's existing user database and product catalog, achieves an accuracy rate of at least 95%, and handles a projected 30% increase in user traffic. Stakeholder goals include a 25% increase in user adoption within the first quarter post-launch and maintaining a bug rate of less than 2% during beta testing. You will need to navigate unexpected technical glitches and last-minute changes in stakeholder requirements.

As a Junior Product Manager at Verda, you are responsible for planning the launch of the new smart size recommendation feature. You will report to Sarah Bennett, the Senior Product Manager, and interact with Mike Torres, the Marketing Lead, and Priya Kapoor, the Development Team Lead. Your tasks include developing a phased rollout plan, coordinating with the Development Team to address technical concerns, and communicating the phased approach to the Marketing Lead while managing expectations. You will engage in tasks that develop and enhance key skills such as Launch Plans and Timelines Development, Collaboration with Developers and Stakeholders, and Communication and Empathy.

To complete the simulation, you need to:

  1. Develop a detailed phased rollout plan, including timelines for beta testing and the full launch, addressing potential issues and including risk assessments and contingency plans.
  2. Coordinate with the Development Team to identify and address any technical concerns, ensuring the product's stability.
  3. Communicate the phased rollout approach to the Marketing Lead, maintaining enthusiasm while emphasizing the importance of a stable and successful launch.

Once you completed all the tasks, save the required final document in a PDF or DOCX and send it to Sarah Bennett.
