## Challenge
The main challenge of the simulation is to negotiate with the client, Sophia Evans, the addition of new features to an ongoing DevOps project while keeping the project within the agreed budget and timeline. The project is halfway through and is facing issues with continuous integration and resource management. The requested new features include a machine learning-based recommendation system and a more intuitive user interface. These additions will require an additional 500 hours of development and an extra cost of about 100,000 euros, risking the planned launch date of July 1, 2023. Sophia Evans has high expectations and well-defined priorities, aiming to improve user experience and increase sales by at least 15%, without exceeding the budget of 400,000 euros.
## Mission
As a Cloud Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for negotiating and managing the client's requests, Sophia Evans. You will interact with the development team, represented by Oliver Wilson (Senior Project Manager) and Zhao Ming Li (Technical Director), and with the client. You will need to balance the client's needs with the technical capabilities and available resources, addressing potential conflicts and ensuring that all parties are aligned on the project goals. Your main actions will include:
1. Conducting a detailed cost and time analysis for the requested new features.
2. Preparing a clear and detailed proposal, including alternatives and compromises.
3. Presenting and negotiating the proposal with the client, clearly explaining the impacts on costs and timelines.
## Expected Outcomes
To complete the simulation, you must keep the project within the agreed limits and obtain the client's acceptance of the proposal. You will need to produce a final document that includes:
1. Cost and time analysis.
2. Detailed proposal with alternatives and compromises.
3. Negotiation report.
