Your Goal
Align on campaign context, then coach a BD Specialist on outreach templates.
Simulation Details:
Regis is a SaaS company that builds AI Agents to automate large-scale customer conversations for enterprise clients, with a strong focus on insurance.
A live insurance-focused outbound campaign is underperforming: subject lines and email copy feel generic, opens and replies are well below internal expectations, and too few responses convert into discovery calls. Marketing wants outreach that lands against specific insurance pains—claim status inquiries, peak handling during storms, cost-to-serve pressures, and compliance-sensitive automation—and that uses real client stories and concrete outcomes to make a brief intro call feel clearly worthwhile. Your task is to bridge Marketing’s strategic direction and the BD team’s day-to-day execution by coaching a Business Development Specialist whose current two-step email sequence needs to be sharpened without undermining his ownership or motivation.
You are the Business Development Lead. Start by joining a one-on-one chat with the Marketing Director to absorb campaign context, priorities, and the standards she expects for subject lines, value framing, and calls-to-action. Use that chat to clarify target personas, key outcomes the outreach should promise, and how Marketing prefers collaboration with BD on messaging.
You complete the simulation by first aligning with Marketing in a one-on-one chat and accepting the coaching mandate. Then you run a focused one-on-one voice call with the BD Specialist where you listen to his templates, surface his reasoning, and provide concrete, example-driven feedback. Together you produce improved directions for subject lines, body messaging that references relevant insurance scenarios and outcomes, and tighter calls-to-action tied to business-relevant benefits. You end each conversation by summarizing next steps and the messaging principles to be applied. Successful completion demonstrates you can translate strategy into actionable coaching and uplift outreach through conversation alone.
