The company processes over a billion data points daily using a modern tech stack (Python, React, AWS), and its predictive analytics have enabled clients to avoid costly disruptions. Currently, Insightive is preparing to launch "Insightive NextGen," a new analytics dashboard designed to deliver real-time insights and customizable KPI tracking. However, the launch faces challenges due to a critical performance issue and limited development resources, all under the scrutiny of demanding enterprise clients and a competitive market. Step into the role of Product Manager at Insightive and navigate a high-stakes product launch. You'll engage in one-on-one voice or chat conversations with key stakeholders: the Sales Director, who is focused on meeting client commitments and revenue targets, and the Product Engineering Lead, who prioritizes technical quality and risk mitigation. Your objective is to clarify each department's constraints, negotiate a launch plan that balances business and technical priorities, and secure verbal support from both sides. Once alignment is achieved, you'll present your proposed solution and reasoning to your supportive manager, demonstrating your ability to foster collaboration and make strategic decisions under pressure. - Hold individual conversations with the Sales Director and Product Engineering Lead to uncover their concerns and priorities. - Negotiate and align both stakeholders on a mutually acceptable launch plan. - Present a clear summary of the agreed solution and next steps to your manager. - Demonstrate effective negotiation and cross-departmental communication skills to complete the simulation.
