WhatWapp is a leading mobile gaming company based in Milan, Italy, renowned for its ability to blend entertainment with user-friendly design in the casual gaming sector. Founded in 2013, the company has grown from a two-person startup into a scale-up with a team of 50 professionals. Over the years, WhatWapp has achieved significant milestones, including over 10 million downloads across its portfolio and maintaining high retention rates for its top-performing games. Its portfolio includes popular titles like “Scopa,” “Solitaire Adventure,” and “Word Challenge,” which have resonated with diverse audiences and demonstrated strong engagement and monetization metrics.
WhatWapp operates with a people-centric culture and a flat hierarchy, encouraging collaboration, autonomy, and rapid execution of ideas. The company emphasizes data-driven decision-making, leveraging advanced analytics tools to optimize performance and track key metrics such as ROAS (Return on Ad Spend), LTV (Lifetime Value), and retention rates. Currently, WhatWapp is navigating a pivotal milestone: its transition from a startup to a scale-up, with a focus on global expansion. The upcoming US soft launch of its latest mobile game represents a critical moment in this journey, requiring innovative marketing strategies and refined workflows to succeed in a competitive market.
As the Head of Growth at WhatWapp, you are tasked with orchestrating the US soft launch of the company’s latest mobile game—a critical milestone in its transition to a global scale-up. Your mission is to navigate conflicting priorities among key stakeholders and craft a sustainable, data-driven growth strategy that balances aggressive user acquisition goals with budget constraints and user quality concerns.
You will engage in one-on-one conversations with three key NPCs:
– CEO Alessandro Fontana, who advocates for bold influencer marketing and community engagement strategies to elevate brand visibility and resonate with younger demographics.
– Progression & Analytics Lead Marco Caruso, who emphasizes budget efficiency and proven acquisition methods, expecting measurable outcomes like a CPA below $2.50.
– Product Owner Elena Russo, who prioritizes user quality and retention metrics, ensuring campaigns align with long-term monetization goals.
Your tasks include designing a cost-effective user acquisition plan that integrates traditional marketing channels (Meta and Google ads) with non-standard approaches like influencer marketing and community engagement. Additionally, you must optimize campaign strategies to ensure user quality aligns with retention and monetization KPIs. Through strategic thinking and collaboration, you will address stakeholder concerns and deliver a credible growth plan for the US market.
