Your Goal
Convince engineers by clearly explaining Cursor AI’s technical and business benefits. Simulation Details: LatticeWorks is a rapidly expanding SaaS company specializing in workflow and productivity software for enterprise clients. Its flagship product, FlowGrid, stands out for its customizable, modular architecture, enabling teams to tailor workflows to their industry needs. With over 15,000 global customers—including Fortune 500 companies in finance, healthcare, and technology—LatticeWorks has achieved more than $120 million in annual revenue and holds a 12% market share. The company’s engineering team has a strong track record of delivering impactful solutions, such as reducing workflow latency and increasing customer retention through predictive analytics. Now, LatticeWorks is focused on integrating AI-powered tools to maintain its competitive edge, aiming to accelerate development cycles and improve code reliability. However, successful adoption depends on overcoming internal resistance and aligning the team around new AI initiatives. As the Tech Lead at LatticeWorks, you are tasked with persuading two key engineers to support the adoption of Cursor AI, a new tool designed to enhance development workflows. You will engage in separate, real-time conversations with each engineer—one skeptical due to past negative experiences with Cursor, and the other concerned about maintaining autonomy and code quality. Your goal is to address their unique concerns, communicate the practical benefits of Cursor AI, and negotiate a structured trial that aligns with both individual and company objectives. Through active listening, clear technical explanations, and collaborative negotiation, you must secure their buy-in and demonstrate your ability to drive strategic change within the engineering team. - Hold one-on-one conversations with each engineer to address their concerns about Cursor AI. - Clearly explain Cursor AI’s technical and business benefits tailored to each engineer’s perspective. - Negotiate and agree on a structured trial for Cursor AI that meets both individual and organizational needs. - Demonstrate strong negotiation, active listening, and technical communication skills to secure genuine commitment from both engineers.
