Interacting with AI characters in the simulations
Try to request the information again and make them aware of the mistake. If the issue is preventing progress, please contact our support team.
No, the characters are aware of the general context of the AI Simulation but cannot talk to each other and are not aware of the responses and conversations that have occurred between you and other characters.
If a character does not respond after a prolonged period, just exit the simulation and restart it (do not resume it). You will lose your existing chats but all the context remains and you can keep interacting with the simulation as you were doing. If the problem persists, contact our support.
We advise you to interact with multiple characters simultaneously. Write to one and while waiting for a reply, proceed directly with another. This approach can also help reduce the total time it takes to complete the simulation.
Managing team requests, meetings and calls
No, currently, even if you ask, the characters will not communicate with each other. If you try to do so and they confirm, be aware that the response always comes solely from the character with whom you’ve interacted. Every character though will be aware of the presence of the other people and will know their names, roles and scope in the simulation. Right now they can’t simply talk to each other or work together on something. We are working on enabling this as well in our technology.
If a character in the simulation mentions they will get back to you, it’s part of the simulated environment’s dynamics. In such cases, you can proceed in a few of ways:
- Wait for a while: Give it some time, as you would in a real-world scenario. The simulation might be designed to test your patience or your ability to manage time and follow up effectively.
- Follow up: If significant time has passed (a few minutes, not more) and you haven’t heard back, consider sending a follow-up message to inquire about the status. This mirrors professional real-life interactions where follow-ups are common and sometimes necessary to keep things moving.
- Continue with other tasks: In the meantime, focus on other aspects of the simulation that you can advance with. This could involve interacting with other characters, completing different tasks, or reviewing information that might help you once the character gets back to you.
Remember, the simulation is designed to emulate real-life professional scenarios, including the waiting and follow-up processes. If you can’t wait you can also “force” the character to give you an answer immediately, just tell them something like “I need it now”.
Sometimes, characters might tell you that they will send the analysis or document you requested via email or simply at a later time. You can prompt them to paste the document or message into the chat by simply asking them to do so.
Just like with meetings, ask the character to discuss it directly in chat.
If a character asks you to organize a meeting, respond by stating that you cannot conduct meetings and must keep the conversation within the chat. Politely request that they continue the interaction directly with you through the chat platform. This ensures that all communications are maintained within the simulated environment, adhering to its guidelines.
In any of these scenarios, ask them to share the content of the document or the file they mentioned directly in the chat. This request ensures that you receive the information you need promptly and without the need to navigate away from your current conversation.
Interacting with the manager
You can converse with them as you would with your manager. The advice is to consult them for clarifications on the objectives of the simulation, ask for help if you’re unsure of what to do, or if you’re having trouble communicating with other stakeholders and/or obtaining the necessary information.
You can interact with them as you would with your actual manager. It’s advisable to consult them for clarifications on the simulation’s objectives, seek help if you’re unsure about what to do, or if you’re experiencing difficulties in communicating with other stakeholders and/or in obtaining the information you need.
Simulation completion and evaluation
Once you’ve submitted your document, the system will inform you whether you have successfully completed the simulation or not. If you do not pass, you have the option to retry immediately. Consider it completed when you submit it and our system confirms that you’ve passed.
Simulations are evaluated based on your interactions with characters within the simulation and your responses in the final document. We assess both your hard skills (i.e., your knowledge of tools, domain, and technical elements discussed) and your soft skills (i.e., your ability to communicate, negotiate, and interact with different characters in order to solve the simulation). The goal of simulations is to be able to evaluate your ability to solve problems in a real scenario: we take into account a lot of different data points. The best way to score high on a AI Simulation is actually to behave like you would do in a real project or solving a real problem with real people! And no worries: you can make all the mistakes you like and learn from them!
We advise against seeking suggestions on how to complete the simulations from the characters as it would invalidate your simulation.
You will find an example linked in each simulation labeled “Assignment template” – You can make a copy of that document and use it as is, or decide to customize it. At a minimum, always list the question you are responding to followed by the text of your response.
Attach your document in PDF format in the chat and send it. It may take 2-3 minutes for it to be accepted and for you to see a confirmation of simulation completion. The system will inform you whether you have passed the simulation or not; if you haven’t passed, you will need to start over. If you have passed, there is nothing more you need to do, and we will inform you about the next steps.
